Deductible is the dollar amount you must pay each calendar year before the insurance begins to pay for certain health services. In some occasions you have to pay the plan deductible first then a car insurance may apply.
Co Insurance
CoInsurance is the percentage (%) you may pay for services after you meet with a plan deductible. It is also known as "cost for sharing".
Out Of Pocket Maximum
Out of pocket maximum is the most you pay for covered healthcare services during the plan's calendar year. All of your expenses go toward this maximum. Once you reach the out-of-pocket maximum, your healthcare plan (FloridaBlue) pays 100% toward covered services and you don't pay anything until the end of the year.
Premium
Premium is the regularly scheduled amount of money you must pay each month to keep your insurance active. Premium is paid regardless if you get sick or not.
HSA
HSA (Health Savings Account) is a tax-advantaged savings account. It allows you to set aside money on a pre-tax basis to pay for qualified medical expenses, such as deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, prescriptions, dental care, vision care, and many other health-related costs.
